BlueSky Launches Partnership Module: Schools Can Now Work Together to Raise Standards Whilst Cutting Costs
BlueSky are unveiling a new tool to their market leading online software that is currently having a significant impact in helping schools to raise standards while reducing costs. The new Partnership Module is released to BlueSky users on 13 September 2010.
BlueSky is already the leading online solution to the challenge of linking Performance Management and CPD objectives to the School Development Plan. The BlueSky tool simplifies the process of raising standards through staff development, whilst ensuring a far-reaching and efficient use of everyone’s skills and expertise.
“The way in which education is delivered in the UK is at a moment of great change and it’s important that we meet the opportunity by building on successful collaborations to raise standards and cut costs.”
The new Partnership Module builds on the existing functionality of BlueSky by offering current users a tool with which to collaborate with other schools, sharing knowledge and expertise. Using the Partnership Module makes collaborations between schools more time efficient and more comprehensive through ensuring that all available expertise is captured and positioned to be made use of by partner schools.
Managing director of BlueSky, Denise Inwood, said: “From the outset, BlueSky has been designed to meet the immediate and ongoing challenges facing schools. The system assists staff as they strive to improve standards for all pupils, whilst under enormous time pressure and financial constraints. The way in which education is delivered in the UK is at a moment of great change and it’s important that we meet the opportunity by building on successful collaborations to raise standards and cut costs. This can be a major step in establishing a world beating education system for the UK.”
At the moment, there is no commitment from government to ensure that schools work in clusters, sharing resources and expertise. However, given limited budgets available, schools will have to look at this working method to deliver best quality learning through existing resources; that is, the teachers already in place. Users of the BlueSky Partnership Module will be able to do this with minimum time spent on administration and in a manner that ensures that all expertise is captured and directed to where it is most needed.
Both Hard and Soft Federations or school networks who use BlueSky will be able to access the new tool, which will be familiar and easy to use to those already working with the online system.
