    Course description

    Twitter is a free, text based social networking and microblogging service. Twitter can be installed on mobile phones, laptops, network PCs and home PCs. Twitter allows a user to write a message or “tweet” consisting of no more than 140 characters. Although used predominantly for social networking, many educators have realised how powerful it can be for sharing ideas, thoughts, resources or information 24/7 anywhere in the world.

    Dropbox is a free web based hosting and storage service. Users can store up to 2Gb of data. You can “drop” any document into Dropbox and it can then be “synched” with any PC, notebook or mobile phone to allow you to access resources from any location. You can creates shared area to share resources with other people “I’ll put it in your dropbox”

    This course is primarily intended for teachers and support staff who wish to develop a PLN and share and collaborate with other teachers. No prior knowledge is needed.

    The training event will last for 90 minutes and staff will be supported through helpsheets, videos, group work and 1-1 supervision.
